Exceptional experience at this restaurant! The food was perfect - every dish surpassed expectations. The freshly baked, warm bread added a delightful touch. Each bite was a burst of flavor, making it a truly tasty dining experience. The ambiance is beautiful, enhancing the overall enjoyment. Without a doubt, the best sandwich I’ve ever had! Highly recommend this gem!

Oh man absolutely delicious chimney cakes and sandwiches. We had an everything bagel cake and a Turkey and pesto sandwich on a baked cheddar cake. They were so good we went back the next day and got the same thing. I would go out of my way for this place. The Oreo cheesecake was also fantastic. The service was great and the prices not bad for a tourist town.

We always stop here when we’re in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Their chimney cakes are incredible - light and fluffy on the inside, and nicely crispy and baked on the outside. They make both sweet and savoury ones - I’m particularly fond of the jalapeño and cheddar / bacon ones. Strongly recommend.

Located in Niagara on the Lake, Ontario, the bakery offers a wide range of sweet and savory chimney cakes. The sweet chimney cakes at Budapest Bakeshop are made from fresh yeast dough prepared daily. They offer various flavors like original (just sugar), cinnamon sugar, walnut, raspberry, and poppyseed. Additionally, they have Sweet Chimneys with spreads like Nutella & Walnut, Oreo Cheesecake (my boys favorite), Coconut Cheesecake, and Walnut Cheesecake. For savory options, they offer chimney cakes with toppings like aged cheddar, jalapeno & cheddar, dill pickle, pizza, bacon & cheddar, and everything bagel. They also serve Chimney Sandwiches using their freshly baked Aged Cheddar Chimney filled with ingredients like Black Forest Ham, Hungarian Salami, Turkey, Spicy Genoa Salami, and Veggie options. This was the best sandwich I have ever had! The ingredients were fresh and the bread was like no other. This is a definite must have if you’re in the area. And that spicy Hungarian dip? Absolute perfection, along with the friendly customer service.

Chimney’s so flaky, buttery and delicious we ate there twice during a three-day visit. Tried both sandwiches and straight up. The sandwiches were made with fresh veggies and quality meats, but I think we might have appreciated the chimney on it’s own the most.

Love the pastry here. I ordered the almond chimney . There’s no place to sit around . Luckily there’s a Starbucks next door to order coffee and enjoy the pastry. This is a must try when visiting Niagara on the lakes .

Amazing chimney cakes made fresh daily. I was just driving by and could smell the wonderful baking aromas so I drove around the block and managed to park right out front. Right in the heart of Niagara on the Lake. Try it… you’ll love it!
